WHO WE ARE

Ntankah Village Women C.I.G. is a Cameroon based grassroots self help or common initiative group created in 1996 and registered in 1997. ‘’Ntankah’’ in the local Mankon dialect means “Hill of Light” The women chose this name because they intended to be a beacon or light house for other women groups to lead them from the darkness of marginalization, dependency and underdevelopment to the light of emancipation, mutual support and self confidence of women working hand in hand in progress and development in typical African community spirit.

OUR MISSION

To empower structurally excluded women and girls in our community by building their capacity, fostering collective action, and advocating for systemic change that dismantles inequalities in power, access, and opportunities. We strive to create a sustainable future where women and girls are recognized as agents of change, free from discrimination and marginalization.

NTANKAH operates through a General Assembly (GA) which the highest decision is making body of NTANKAH. It defines and formulates Group policies of NTANKAH. The GA elects the Executive Committee (Exco). The Exco implements strategies and programs and at the same time supervises and evaluates the work of members, staff, volunteers and resource persons involved in programs and actions of the organization.
